InterContinental Tampa Scares up Halloween Fun with “Tampa Terrors” Package
WHO: Opened in August 2007 as Tampa’s affordable luxury hotel, the InterContinental Tampa is centrally located in the heart of the city, within walking distance of several popular shopping and dining destinations.
WHAT: This October, the InterContinental Tampa is scaring up some fun with their new “Tampa Terrors” package. Not for the faint of heart, the package includes a one-night stay and two tickets to the bone-chilling Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream event. The package also includes a “tricks and treats” basket and two Bloody Mary’s (or cocktails of choice) in the Shula’s No Name Lounge. Starting at just $189, the package is valid on weekends, including Thursdays, in October.
WHEN: The “Tampa Terrors” package is available October 1-3, 8-10, 15-17, 22-24, and 29-31.
WHY: Those hungry for more fright night activities might want to check out Tampa’s most haunted neighborhood in "Secret Ybor: Scandals, Crimes, and Shady Ladies,” a ghost walk tour of Ybor City - a National Landmark Historic District - that brings the district's notorious past to life – through its dead. Guests lucky (or unlucky) enough to be in Tampa on Oct. 25 can join the guided "Gothic Graveyard Walk." This tour of Oaklawn Cemetery (c.1850) in downtown Tampa introduces visitors to pirates, swindlers, murderers (and their victims), and crooked politicians – just a few of the "residents" in this picturesque old burying ground. These add-on tours can be arranged through the concierge.
During the daylight hours, the InterContinental Tampa is the ultimate escape with a rooftop pool; a state-of-the-art fitness center; and outstanding on-site dining at the world-famous Shula’s Steak House. Guests can also enjoy gourmet Illy coffee products and “fare on the go” at Caffé, and an extensive cocktail menu at Shula’s No Name Lounge.
WHERE: Convenient to downtown Tampa, the AAA Four Diamond InterContinental Tampa offers complimentary wireless high-speed internet in guestrooms and public areas of the hotel, as well as complimentary transportation to the airport and nearby shopping and dining.
HOW: To reserve the Tampa Terrors package at InterContinental Tampa, please call (866) 402-0758 and mention rate code ILOXK or visit www.intercontampa.com.
