The Newest Luxury Hotel in Tampa has been Praised for its Design

Tampa, FL (August, 2007) - The design team for InterContinental Tampa, the newest luxury hotel in Tampa, has been recognized with a prestigious Design Excellence Award from the Georgia Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. The design firm CMMI was recognized with a Gold Award for Best Singular Space for their innovative work on InterContinental Tampa.

The CMMI design team was challenged to create a setting where guests can relax and unwind in hotel rooms that still retain a high level of function. The decor captures the blue and whitecoastal palette that reflects the traditional and timeless colors of seaside design while offering high-tech accompaniments expected by the discerning traveler, including flat screen TV's, iPod dockingstations, and wireless high-speed internet.

The guest rooms of InterContinental Tampa achieve the delicate harmony of form and function by blending today's technology with dark stained woods, natural stone, and clean lines.Weary travelers will relax in posh beds featuring leather-upholstered headboards, feather-top mattresses and luxurious linens in shades of indigo, deep orange, and crisp white.
